Symptoms of the lower urinary tract take a central&nbsp;role in outpatient urology, primarily due to the high&nbsp;prevalence in the general population.<br>Objective: To analyze the eff ectiveness of suppositories&nbsp;“Proxelan” in the treatment of symptoms of the lower urinary&nbsp;tract associated with chronic prostatitis and benign&nbsp;prostatic hyperplasia of the mild degree.<br>Design. The study was conducted in a prospective design&nbsp;on a contingent of 100 male patients who underwent outpatient&nbsp;treatment at the “Men’s Health Clinic” LLC. Patients&nbsp;were divided into 2 groups, depending on the presence in&nbsp;the treatment regimen of rectal suppositories “Proxelan”.<br>Results of the study. The fi ndings on the diff erences in the intensity&nbsp;of symptom manifestations in the structure of lower&nbsp;urinary tract symptoms, according to the I-PSS scale, indicate&nbsp;that there is a signifi cant clinical eff ect on the symptoms&nbsp;in general for both treatment groups. Diff erences between&nbsp;the eff ect in the study groups range from moderate&nbsp;to minor.<br>Conclusions. It has been established that the inclusion in&nbsp;the treatment regimen of rectal suppositories “Proxelan”&nbsp;allows to increase the clinical eff ect with respect to some indicators,&nbsp;namely: frequent urination and weakening of the&nbsp;urine stream.
