He was born on July 9, 1964 in the village of Velyka-Bilozirka, Kamyanka-Dniprovsky district, Zaporizhzhia region. In 1987 he graduated with honors from the Crimean State Medical Institute, Medical Faculty. In 1993 he defended his dissertation on the topic: "Clinical and pathological comparisons of secondary trunk syndrome in patients with acute stroke" in the specialty - 14.01.15 - nervous diseases. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Clinical and pathogenetic features of intracerebral complicated stroke and optimization of tactics for its treatment" in the specialty 14.01.15 - nervous diseases.
The main directions of scientific research:
Study of biochemical and immunological changes of blood and cerebrospinal fluid, neuroimaging and pathological features of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes. The work is devoted to improving the level of diagnosis, development of criteria for forecasting and optimization of treatment of intracerebral complications in stroke.
Teaching and research activities:
From 1987 to 1993 he worked as a neurologist at the Zaporizhzhia City Angioneurological Center. In 1993 he was hired as an assistant at the Department of Nervous Diseases of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, and from 2003 to present he is a professor at the Department of Nervous Diseases. Since 2004 - Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University. Neurologist from 1987 to 1993 of the 6th city clinical hospital of Zaporizhzhia, 1993-2003 - assistant, 2003-2005 - associate professor, since 2005 - professor of the Department of Nervous Diseases of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University. Since 2004 - Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University.
He is the author of more than 120 scientific and methodological publications that have been published in leading medical journals in Ukraine and abroad. Repeatedly participated in and spoke at national conferences and international congresses.
